Screen Resolution
Most home computer users have their monitor settings as 800x600 pixels. Nearly 80% used this setting at the last count.
This limits webmasters who make websites as to what they can create. The problem with 800x600 is that everthing appears quite large, and this limits how much will fit on one page of a site.

If all surfers were to change their settings to 1024x768 then the internet would be a much more enjoyable place for all of us. No more squashed text or thin columns of information.
1024x768 doesn't make anything more difficult to read unless you have serious reading difficulties. Infact I would say that it makes the internet a much more usable and
interesting place to explore.

Want to know how to change your resolution on your computer?
It isn't difficult at all. Just five simple steps is all it takes:
1) Right click on your desktop and select 'properties' (at the bottom of the list).
2) When the little window appears (titled 'Display Properties') click the 'settings' tab at the top.
3) On this screen there should be a little section near the bottom titled 'screen resolution'. Here you can check what your monitor is currently set to, and whether you can increase it on your computer.
4) If the answers are 'it is set to 800x600' and 'yes I can increase it' then move the slider ONE click to the right and click 'apply' (DO NOT click ok incase you don't like these settings. Apply gives you a way out.)
5) If you like the new settings then you can click OK to boxes infront of you. (you may need to alter the monitor settings ON THE MONITOR to get the whole screen to appear with your new settings. If you don't like the new settings then click on NO or cancel depending on what operating system you are using. If the screen goes blank then you DON'T need to worry, just wait for 15 seconds and the screen settings will return to normal.
